Jill offers the widest range of classes on Shri's schedule and is a teacher who can offer individualized guidance whether you are a just beginning your yoga journey or you are working on your Cirque du Soleil audition tape. Jill is a 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher who has led teacher trainings and owned her own studio. She is a serious, dedicated practitioner but still manages to imbue a lightness to her classes which make them feel like a group of friends gathered together to learn something new.

Jill Mockaitis knew yoga was her passion after taking her first Ashtanga class with Ashtanga Yogi Cara Jepsen during her sophmore year of college. After graduating from DePaul in 2005, she went off to San Fransisco for one month to recieve her 200-hr (Ashtanga-Vinyasa) Yoga Teacher Certification with Clayton Horton of Greenpath Yoga. During her stay in the Bramanada Ashram, Jill learned that yoga was more than just an vigorous discipline; it was also a spiritual journey that she was just beginning.

Since coming back from San Fransisco, Jill has recieved her Level 2 (300-hr) Teacher Training from Yogaview Chicago where she studied with teachers Geri Blier, Claire Mark, Quinn Kearny, and Tom Quinn. She has completed Shanna Linn’s "Anatomy for Yogis" course at Moksha Yoga as well as Rhonda Kantor’s Prenatal Yoga Training.

Jill continues to learn through taking other teacher’s classes and workshops and thinks this is the most important way to keep her own teaching fresh and exciting. Jill’s classes are physically challenging but also accommodating to many different levels as she provides alternatives and modifications. She loves to incorporate new music, inspirational quotes and ideas, and hands on adjustments to make her classes stand out from the rest.
