“You are exactly where you are supposed to be” is what Lisa’s first 200-hour yoga teacher taught her early in the training. Lisa believes that yoga becomes part of one’s life when one is ready for it. She began her exploration of yoga in September 2014 with her first 200-hour teacher training, Life Power. It only took a few months for her to develop a serious relationship with her yoga practice and continued her yoga training with a second 200-hour training at Shri. Lisa has always had a passion for fitness. In 2005, Lisa became an ACE (American Council of Exercise) certified group fitness instructor and, in 2006, an NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) personal trainer. Lisa teaches a variety of fitness classes. She loves working with groups as well as with individuals one-on-one.
Lisa is a lifelong learner and continues to pursue education in yoga. This ongoing process of learning is what motivates her and provides the renewed visions that inspire her teaching. Creative, well-thought-out sequencing with attention to core strength and alignment are consistent points of focus in her classes. Lisa’s teaching style focuses on fun, compassion, and challenge. She is passionate about finding the hidden strengths of her students while challenging them to reach beyond their perceived limitations. Her music selection is uplifting, fun, and energizing. She invites challenges and finding one’s edge in every class, and she believes in producing growth and change over time. You will leave her classes feeling invigorated, centered, and uplifted.
